Student Biography
STUDENT BIOGRAPHY

Daniel Bodde is currently a fifth year Architectural Engineering student, with a focus in structural engineering, at The Pennsylvania State University.  Daniel will graduate with a bachelors of Architectural Engineering in the spring of 2013 from PSU, which is an ABET accredited program.  In April of 2012 he passed the FE exam which will grant him EIT status upon graduation. After graduation he plans on finding an entry level position with a structural engineering firm.

For the past two summers (2011 and 2012) Daniel has been the intern for Massaro CM Services who is the construction manager for the Biobehavioral Health Building located on the Penn State campus.  Daniel also continues his internship part time during the school year.  His responsibilities with Massaro are the review of incoming changes to drawings, the management of all contract documents, and is a part of the quality assurance/quality control team.  During this time Daniel has gained an understanding of several things such as the construction process, the constructability of a building, and the translation of what is shown in the details to what is being built in the field.

Outside of class and work Daniel is a member of the Structural Engineers Association (SEA) and Navigators.  He also participates in a weekly bible study with the junior and senior males of navigators.  Daniel also enjoys swimming and was team captain of the Penn State Altoona swim team where he was given the honor of most valuable swimmer his freshman and sophomore year.
